What you'll do

Today, you will be picked up to explore Ahu Akivi and its iconic 7 moais, situated in the heart of the island. Legend has it that these statues symbolize the 7 explorers dispatched to Rapa Nui by King Hotu Matua. Your journey begins in the town of Hanga Roa, meandering through picturesque hills to reach the ceremonial site of Tahai. Recognized as part of the Rapa Nui National Park, this location also holds the distinction of being a UNESCO World Heritage site. Your exploration continues at the unrestored Ahu Hanga Poukura. Here, once towering moais now lie fallen and grounded. Your journey takes a turn towards the Puna Pau quarry, a crater known for its vibrant red Scoria stone, which was utilized to craft the Pukaos. Filled with awe-inspiring glimpses of nature and culture, you'll make your way back to the hotel by early afternoon. Private service with English speaking guide. Not included: Entrance fee. Lunch. *Recommended pick-up time: 9:30 am
