Drive across the rugged terrain to reach the Petrified Forest where hundreds of trees were deposited by a flood 260 million years ago and now form a fossilised thicket, with some reaching heights of 30m. Learn all you can about the flora and non-living and living fauna from your guide and keep a lookout for the Welwitschia Mirabilis, an ancient plant that only grows in the Namib Desert.
