Where to take your family in South America
Get ready for your next family adventure!
Legend has it that upon seeing Iguazu Falls, First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt exclaimed, “Poor Niagara!” And whilst Niagara is really quite impressive, just wait until you’re standing before the mind-blowing natural spectacle that is Iguazu Falls. Surrounded by emerald-green rainforest, this UNESCO World Heritage Site sits within a national park right on the border of Argentina and Brazil, and should definitely be on everyone’s bucket list. The collection of over 275 cascades is guaranteed to make you feel humbled, speechless and elated, all at the same time. Wander across the river via wooden walkways and stand at the edge of the famed Devil’s Throat, then embark on a once-in-a-lifetime boat trip; you’ll get absolutely drenched but leave with a smile on your face. For the active, nearby hiking trails offer opportunities for amazing wildlife spotting.

On the border of Brazil and Argentina, Iguazu is the tallest waterfall system in the world and, happily, Argentina has the best views. Wander along the wooden walkways and peer over the edge as 275 cascades of water meet in a frothing cauldron, or take in this astounding spectacle of nature on a boat ride at its base. Be prepared to get soaked! When you've finished ogling the water, explore the forests surrounding the Falls where colourful toucans, coatis, tapirs and even big cats can be spotted.
It’s unlike anything you’ll ever see. The sheer power the Iguazu Falls convey simply cannot be captured in words or photographs.
The Misiones region is covered in lush jungle and houses a huge array of wildlife from monkeys and coati to colourful butterflies. Set some time apart to explore this beautiful area away from the crowds of Iguazu Falls and you won't be disappointed.
You can access the falls from the Argentinian side or the Brazilian side. We say: do both! While the Argentinian side covers two-thirds of the falls, Brazil allows you to get closer to Devil’s Throat and offers better panoramic views. The choice is yours...
